What can I do to hide the gap in my teeth?

Q.
Dear Dr Andrew,

I have worn braces in the past (5years ago) because I had a gap in my front teeth which was quite bad. The braces closed the gap and I started wearing the plastic retainers. after a while, I lost the retainers through the post and took a while to get another. During this time, my teeth were moving back and since I got my retainers back, I have had this little gap that seem not to dissapear. I am not happy with my teeth at the moment and I wondered what treatment you could recommend for me. I do not want to have to wear braces anymore. The gap is not as big as an average tooth. its about 0.3cm.

thanks for you help, looking forward to hearing from you.

You could try using a a white filling material to make the gap appear closed using a technique known as cosmetic bonding. You could also consider veneers if you want a more permanent solution
