there is not enough jawbone to do this proceedure without a sinus lift

Q. I am a male 54 years old and need 2 implants on top jaw but I have been told there is not enough jawbone to do this proceedure without a sinus lift . What are the percentage chances of a sinus lift being 100% successful? If there are liable to be complications what would they be and how severe would they be ?

A. Hi many thanks for your enquiry, the sucess rate of a sinus lift is dependant on how much bone is present initially, secondly what material is used to do the lift procedure. thirdly the medical history of yourself and whether your a smoker or not. the only complication is that the graft material would not take and the implants would not intergrate. which leave you in no worse a position than you are in now.  hope this is helpful.
