There is no improvement in my teeth after undergoing Clearstep for 3 years, what should I do?
Hi, I have spent 3 years undertaking the clearstep treatment. after 2 years I had 1 upper and 2 lower sectional braces fitted the price was £8475. I had a moderate upper and severe lower. Question,1. is a general practinoner dentist qualified to carry out orthodontic treatments, ie fixed braces,2. have i paid to much for this treatment. 3. there is no improvement in my teeth, what should I do, can I get my money back.
Thanks for your questions:
1. If the practitioner has been trained appropriately and has enough experience then there is no reason why they cannot carry out orthodontic treatments. I personally feel that if the treatment required is complex that a referral to a Specialist Orthodontist is necessary and in my own practice I have two ‘in house’ orthodontists for such cases
2. The price you have quoted if it’s just for sectional braces seems a little high but if this price also includes the Clearstep treatment then this sounds about right for high quality private treatment with an experienced dentist.
3. I would speak to the dentist who carried out your treatment first and if needs be go for a second opinion
Hope that helps answer your questions sufficiently
Kind regards
Mark
