There is a big gap in my upper teeth and to the side of them. What treatment would suit me best? Bonding, veneers or crowns?

Q. i have a pretty big gap in my upper front four teeths(approx 2 mm in front two nd 1 mm each side of d front teeths).which treatment will suit best for me??if i go for orthodontic treatment will it effect strength of my teeths in future nd will it close d complete gap??what if i go for composite bonding or venners or crowns??do crowns oor venners will give d complete natural luk??nd last what if i go for composite bonding??will composite bonding be able to give d proper strength??plz help,
A. You will probably need a combination of orthodontic treatment to make the gaps smaller and composite bonding or veneers to finish them off, it depends on the size of the gaps.

I just wanted to enquire about the dental bonding procedure and ask how big a gap you are able to fill? I have a gap between my canines which is about half and inch wide, is this too wide for the dental bonding?

Cosmetic bonding is usually a good option to close small gaps and minor imperfections in your smile. The procedure however does have limitations when a gap is large as the tooth will simply look too big and bulky. It is very important to keep the size of your teeth in proportion. If this simply cant be done with bonding other options such as orthodontic procedures (moving your teeth around) may give a better aesthetic result. I would certainly recommend a consultation to assess the options available to you as there may be several.

Hi, I would like to close gaps in my four front teeth. I have been advisedby another dentist that bonding on four teeth would close the gaps. I am looking at beginning treatment asap, could you please advise a rough estimateof the cost of treatment? e.g. consulation, cost of bond per tooth etc. Thank you in advance.

She is terribly self conscious and I am looking for somewhere she can receive treatment. I would be grateful if somebpody could contact me with some information as to potential costs involved. I have a discoloured front tooth following a fall and a small gap between my front teeth. I was wondering whether dental bonding might be the answer as I don’t particularly want to have veneers on my other healthy teeth.

Hi there, I have a slight gaps between my front few teeth, and I have been looking at your 6 month smile and inman aligner procedures. Do these procedures work with gaps to close them? Or is it only for crowded teeth? I have always been self conscieus about my teeth and i really am considering theseprocedures. Thanks

Hello, I am a student and I’m thinking of getting an orthodontic treatmentas my top row of teeth have slowly come apart since I stopped a 2 year treatment when I was 15. There are very small gaps between my top front 4 teeth, but they are getting bigger. Apart from that my teeth are straight, it is just a gap problem. I was wondering if you could give me a very approximate estimation of the cost of an orthodontic treatment for say, a year. I know this can only be decided after an appointment but I need to know if I can afford it at all, as my budget would only be around C2A3800. Thank youvery much.

What you have is called a diastema (space). To properly address this condition requires the expertise of someone versed in smile design. I can refer you to someone if you let me know where you are located.

You could have fixed braces but you’ll need to start ASAP to be finished for your wedding, alternatively Invisalign works well. Have a look at my website for similar cases http://www.Advancedentalclinic.com

Hi , It could be caused by underlying periodontal disease or the Tongue thrusting against the teeth pushing them forward. Get an appointment with your dentist and check the gums and then go see an orthodontist

hello i have been wearing my invisalign for about 3 months now and I have really started to notice a change, sadly, however, i fell with the retainer off and have chipped one of my front teeth. it isnt a massive chipped or anything and i am soon to have it filled in by my dentist but i just wondered is it a good idea for me to continue wearing my invisalign before and after the filling procedure? I really hope i can as i feel the treatment was going well, but i obvious want to make sure that i am not damaging my teeth further. thanks for your time

Grayson Says :

it is important that you continue wearing the aligners in order to progress with your treatment. Fixing a damaged tooth will not be affected with the aligner forces.

i’m 53 and want to straighten my upper and lower teeth. i have seen excellent results on youtube. I have had 4 tooth extractions over 30 years , one recently as there was not enough of the tooth left to re crown. Is it possable to have invisilign braces to straighten my teeth and have the spaces filled with implants. ie. move the spaces , making the gaps tooth sized. I’m sure i’m not the only person with this problem but this information doesn’t seem to be readily available. regards
