The Enamel on My Teeth Is Wearing Away. What Can Be Done?

Q.
Hi, I have a partial denture on my top front teeth but the enamel on my bottom front teeth is wearing away. They don’t look nice and I’m afraid I’m going to lose them. Is there anything I can do to A) make them look better and B) stop myself from losing them? I go to my dentist every three months as I’m on medication that can harm your teeth, but she has never advised me that I can do anything about the problem.Thank you.

Hi, thank you for your question. Yes, it is almost certainly possible to find a solution for you. That may entail some composite bonding, veneers or crowns, maybe with some orthodontics involved, but we’d need to examine you thoroughly and diagnose the source of the wear properly first. Go to an experienced cosmetic dentist for a consultation on how your issues can be resolved. Regards, Mark.
