Hi Dr Hughes. I have a couple of questions for you. I recently tried a home whitening kit that has left white spots on my teeth, I really do not wish to continue the treatment, how can I get I’d of these spots? And I’m looking to straighten my teeth, they are not awful but my two front teeth are starting to cross and I don’t want braces, I’ve heard of clear step but roughly how much is it? And is there any other cheap options to get straight teeth? Thanks.

Hi I would just like to know the possible to solutions for white spots on the tooth ? I have heard of microabrasion but the from the reviews I have seen the results do not seem promising. Are veneers necessary ? Or are there other options Available ? I have a white spot on my front tooth and I wanted to know if in the london area it is treatable ? Also is microabrasion harmful to the teeth as I know it involves shaving a layer of enamel? Are teeth a lot more sensitive as a result ? Hi Dr Moore! I just got aceppted to NYU and I want to have a great smile for college. My two top front teeth aren’t very straight, however the rest of my teeth are. (But all if my teeth have white spots) … I know braces would take a long time to straighten my front teeth. Are veeners a good route to go with on my two front teeth and then luminers to fix the discoloration on the rest? I really want to have a great smile before I go to college. I have always taken care of my teeth (brushing, flossing, etc). However, due to my younger brother being diagnosed with cancer my single mother never had the extra money to afford braces and such. So I want to try and get them fixed now, well before I go to college anyway. I’m hoping you can provide me with some advice? Thanks!
My daughter just turned 16 and has what appears to be “white stains on her teeth. I thought it was from her braces but the orthodontist said it was probably from the iron she had to take when she was an infant.
She was anemic when she was a baby; at 2 months of age we put the iron drops down the side of her check once a day for 6 months. We did this until she stopped breastfeeding and got the iron from her formula.
Either way, now that she has straight teeth, she wishes they were a nicer color.
What are her options?
I have two white spots on my front two teeth. I’ve had them ever since my permanent teeth grew in, so they are not due to wearing braces or anything. I would really like to get rid of these white spots. I’ve tried crest whitestrips at home and they do help to make my teeth whiter and they do help blend them a little but I feel like I need to use the strips continuously but I do not wish to damage my teeth. So, I was wondering if there were any methods of doing so at the dentist which aren’t that costly.I’ve heard of microabrasion.. Is that a good option for me? What would be the cost of doing microabrasion on two teeth? And also, do you think these spots are too deep to be rid of? I do not know why I got these spots in the first place. Advice would be much appreciated.
