Hi Andrew, I wanted to ask you if I am able to fix an upper bridge that is broken. The dentist that made it for me 10 years ago has closed now and he has gone back to Africa where he was from. My bridge is 6 teeth in total and I have had screws on both sides. Now the bridge is broken in the middle on upper two front teeth (the one that was missing) and I have been using it with Fixodent now for the past two months. I still have the roots of 4 teeth, two in both sides where my previous dentist took the nerves out and screwed through to put the new bridge in. Words can not explain it how difficult is to live day to day. I do not have much money to fix it and the dentist that I am registered with at the moment is useless and he does not want to fix it. Can you please help? Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thursday, October 30th, 2014 Hi, Dr Hughes. My age is 24, and I am male. My upper incisors are not straight, they protrude forward. There is also gap between my incisor and my canine. What can be done to correct it? Is there any dental surgery? Also, I have one doubt in my mind. My grandmother died from oral cancer, will surgery affect any prospect of developing cancer of the mouth?
Can I wear braces at my age? In my childhood I wore braces, at that time there was lot of improvement but it has become embarrassing again now. What would be the correct treatment for me?

Friday, July 19th, 2013 Hi doctor Moore, I was really hoping that you’d be able to help me out with a problem I’ve been having for a very very long time. I am 27 years old and only have one upper tooth. Because of this I therefore have a denture, it is very ill fitting and so loose that i have to glue it in about four to five times a day. It’s making me so self-conscious that I barely even leave the house. I find it so depressing and it really knocks my confidence i was wondering if there was any way that i could get implanted dentures on the nhs. My partner and i are on a very low income and i am also pregnant. I’m not sure if this will impact upon any future treatments that I plan to have. I’m really at a loss as to what to do and as I said this has been a struggle of mine for many years now. Please help.

I still see myself as too young for dentures & get to the point in the day when I feel i have to take it out,but with having a partner & kids this is very difficult as I wont let them see me without it. Basically I would like to know the approx cost of an upper set of dental implants, I realise in time bone in the jaw would deteriorate & that would have to be looked at. But I just think I can’t go through the rest of my life with the irritant of my upper denture. Also what does it take to get NHS help in my situation? So I would appreciate any information you could give to me, thank you very much.

I have got self ligating brackets with IPR and no extraction. But now i feel my upper teeth are coming forward. I have a chipped crown, should i replace it or get an implant?
Tuesday, January 11th, 20115 years ago I had two upper crowns (Empress 2). My orginal teeth were lost as a child and prior to these had metal backed crowns. 3 Years ago one of the tooths had root canal. That same crown is now chipped and needs replacement. Question is whether its viable to replace the crown, if that’s indeed possible, or a complete implant ?
