Hi there, I have booked in to get my teeth whitened in Aug and the dentist I have found said they use some new system called Whi-ten or Whi10 (not sure how its spelt) but I have never heard of it and wonderd if you could give me your opinion on it and inform me of why it only takes 2 x 30min tretments a day to work and not an overnight treatment. Can I get my dental bridge correcting under the NHS, instead of private?

I have recently had a bridge fitted under NHS. My canine tooth was crowned and the colour match is awful. I was told that I had agreed the colour was okay, but it was impossible to tell until I saw it in daylight. My dentist has told me I can have the tooth bleached but will have to have this done privately. He also said tooth whitening toothpaste might help. I feel the colour should be corrected under nhs. I would value your opinion.,

Can I use a tooth whitening pen on my enamel and composite?

I have some composite on my teeth to smooth out chipped edges. Can I use a tooth whitening pen on my enamel and composite? Will it be safe and effective? I was told I could not use laser whitening because composite cant be whitened and I would end up with 2-coloured teeth. There is a pen which claim to have no peroxide.Could I use that one or another with peroxide?,

What is the maximum times I can use the tooth whitening gel before it starts to harm my teeth?

I am applying tooth whitening with home tray. The gel I am using is : Temrex Corporation Freeport, NY 11520 START WHITE TOOTH WHITENING GEL 3g 22% Carbamide Peroxide US Patent No.R34,196 I have been applying this gel every evening and in 3 weeks, but the result is still not as my expectation yet. My question : is there any damage to my teeth if I continue to apply this gel in 2 weeks more. I mean what is the maximum times I can use this gel that wont damage my teeth ? Could you pls adv, thks. My 17 year old daughter has yellow coloured teeth and wants them whitenend, what do you suggest?

My 17 year old daughter is wanting her teeth whitened as they really are a yellow colour. The problem is that about 5 years ago she had white spots on her front teeth and her dentist applied a paste on the front of the teeth to make them the same colour as the rest. They do seem a lot yellower now though. What would this paste be and will it whiten with the rest of the teeth or will she need to have it removed and replaced. Her dentist changes every time she goes and most of them dont speak very good english. Please advise me as she is so upset and wants a nice white smile.,

Hi, I am enquiring whether or not teeth whitening would work for me. I am 21 years old and all of my teeth are a prominent yellow color and have been since I can remember. I had meningitis when I was 3 and some people say this discoloration is due to that, but I am not sure. I have tried all sorts of whitening kits (cheap ones) and they haven’t made a difference, I seem to think the yellow color is beneath the tooth surface as no amount of brushing makes any difference. Can you please give me some advice? Thanks.,
