When I go for a scale and polish it really hurts, is there any way I can have this procedure without pain?

Hi I am 55yrs old and my teeth have become more stained as the years have gone on.I go to my dentist regularly and he has given me a quick cursory polish which does not remove all the stains.Also I have very sensitive teeth and it can be quite painful when he uses the water and he gives up quickly.Is there anyway I can have this procedure without the pain Thank you,

My tooth under the crown is very sensitive, why do you think this is?

I had a crown done about 4 months ago. i ate some dinner and in the middle of eatting my tooth under the crown had gotten senitive. Its been 45 minutes later and it will go off and on. When i bite down it feels the same way after i had gotten the crown done. Almost like small pressure. What do you think it may be? Its not loose.,

Is it normal for my tooth to be so sensitive and painful after having a filling?

Hi, I recently had a filling done, badly. It was very painful so it was re-done with a temporary filling that was then replaced with a permanent one last Tuesday. This filled tooth however is extremely sensitive and painful to any hot/cold drinks going near it. This was done 6 days ago, is this normal and will it settle down or is this not normal? Thank you,

My teeth are thinning and causing some pain, why is this?

My front bottom two middle teeth are getting thinned and those two tooth are give me little pain. The pain is bearable but I am feeling little uneasy. When I look in mirror closely I can see a minute gap formation between those two tooth. Can you please tell me what is the reason for this. 3 weeeks ago i went to turky and had front and bottem zirconum crowns ,i since returned home and surrering with sensertivaty on the bottem it seems to be 4 front ones that are causing me problems ,it was very sensertive when the temps were taken of and news placed ,im using senzertive toothpaste but it does nt seem to help please can you tell me if they are just setteling or will i need to go back for root canal on these bottem teeth ,i am so happy with the teeth as they look so like my own but the sensetivaty is getting me down,

Is it normal to suffer from such sensitivity from dental crowns?

i have had all zirconum crowns on my top teeth and 6 on the bottemas i was told this was the best option for me ,this as cost me so much money but im always in pain . when i close my mouth it feels like my jaw doesnt relax properly although my bite feels ok other than it feels like im putting pressure on the top 5 tooth along when i close my mouth ,then i start to get pain in 5th tooth it feels like it is coming from round the gum area although and then this causes the tooth next to it to hurt .my bit feels realy good took a while to get used to the teeth ,but im still getting alot of sensertivaty on the bottem 4 front teeth my teeth feel realy good other than the 5 th tooth on top which feels like im putting pressure on it when i close the teeth together .,and is it normal to get so much sensertivaty mainly in bottem,

Can I have my teeth filed down?

Hi, I am curious as to whether it is possible to have teeth- for want of a better phrase- filed down. I have an overbite, and while it is not too noticable, i would be interested if perhaps the front 4 of the top row could me shortened slightly, to bring them level witht eh rest of the top row. Why am I experiencing sensitivity two months after a filling?

I am having sudden twinges in a tooth that was treated (filling in a cavity) two months ago. The onset of the sensitivity was sudden. It feels as if it is in the same region that the filling is located. I have had no problems at all since the treatment. Can this be just a passing thing? Could there be other reasons for this beside inflamed pulp? If something was wrong with the original filling, would that be indicated much closer to the time of the treatment?,

Hi there, I have very sensitive teeth with a lot of nerves exposed at he top of the tooth near the gums. my teeth are evry discoloured and I would like the white again, I also have a very uneven smile due to me grinding and wearing my teeth away. I have had whitening done before but I was in agony due to my sensitivity. I also have a missing tooth bottome left. I’m 37 and feel my teeth( aswell as other things, age me) Could you give me an Idea on how much a whole mouth would cost for me to have done in the strongest veneers you do. Many thanks.
