Do I have any alternative than having the roots removed and a denture

Saturday, September 26th, 2009
Q.
I have a four tooth bridge the first crown is the eye tooth and the 2nd is the last tooth in my right upper jaw. The post snapped on the 1st crown and the dentist has said that I must have implants as the crowns cant support the bridge and the roots are too soft for single crowns with a two tooth denture in between.Do I have any alternative than having the roots removed and a denture until I can affiord the implants. Hello, I am living in india and had a root canal done over here. I had slight fever and glands swelling for about a month untill we discover that is is not flu or otitis but my right mollar. I didnt know but the dentist i have been to seemed a bit low on hygyenic rules as I could see. I am now expereincing severe pain and I feel some heaviness on my whole right face, I am taking Novaclox since yersterday and really I am very worried, I am afraid he did something which might cause me septicemia. I am going to see another dentist on minday. Thanks for answering.

How long does a bridge last and how strong are they?

Saturday, September 26th, 2009
Q.
I have trigeminal neuralgia and I have not been to a dentist in two and a half years because of this. I use to go to the dentist every six months. I now need a root canal on the same side of my trigeminal neuralgia top left. Also I made need another root canal and a crown done to the tooth next to it. I also need a new partical plate, cleaning, and other crowns. I am very anxious about having work done on my mouth. I was also told that I could have a bridge instead of a new partical plate. The bridge would be on tooth 6,7,8,3 are the missing teeth and on my partical now. If they do a bridge it would have to be connected with crowns on teeth 9,10,4,5,. the root canal is on tooth 13 which already has a crown. I am now on a anti-botic for the infection of that tooth. What is better for me to have a bridge or another partical? how long does a bridge last and how strong are they? What should I get done first? I am fearful because of my Trigeminal Neuralgia and I also have TMJ. Thank you for any information you can give me.

What can be done to correctly fit an irreplaced crown?

Thursday, September 24th, 2009
Q.
I had a crown on a back molar which did not fit correctly and is in the process of being replaced. I have a dull ache in the tooth area to the rear of the tooth. It is not the throbbing of a regular root canal type pain. An endodontist could not see damage to the nerve or root other than the poorly fitting crown which is now gone and a temporary in place. I am getting intermittent pain but am concerned about getting a root canal as a previou s root canal on a bottom molar left permanent nerve damage. What do you suggest?
