Will veneers make my teeth protrude?

Monday, August 22nd, 2011
Q.

Hi I am 25 year old female that has been told i have periodontitis. I have received treatment for this in the form of scaling and root planning. I also have receded gums five gum pockets between my front teeth which have made me very depressed. I have seen one cosmetic dentist and he said he can add composite resin to these teeth to make them look more natural and close the gaps, is this good for the gum? What other option do I have veneers? Would this make my teeth even more protruding? I have also had braces for a year to correct an over bite and close some gum gaps where the teeth had been stripped a little to make the gaps smaller but the gum gaps are still there. I also have a permanent brace behind my top teeth to stop it from moving. I have been in a very depressive state as to what can be done about my teeth to keep my gums stable. What can be done aesthetically to help me get my confidence back and smile?
Please can you help me as I feel I dont know what can be done?

Which would best treat my protruding teeth, veneers or braces?

Tuesday, July 19th, 2011
Q.

Hello,
I would like some advice on what treatments would be suitable for me.
My top teeth protrude greatly and have a large gap in the middle and a few smaller gaps around the sides. They’re also slightly decayed. Are veneers an option for me to get a better smile?
Can veneers actually help disguise/correct my overbite or would I need to consider braces instead? I desperately want a more aesthetically pleasing smile. Are there any other options you could suggest for me?

Thanks.

Can veneers correct protruding front teeth?

Wednesday, April 13th, 2011
Q.

Hi, I have protruding teeth at the front I just wanted to know if veneers would be able to fix this? They stick out about a cm. I can’t braces for free so I want to pay for something that can be done quicker than braces. I really do want to get something done, it really gets me down. I work in retail and feel really self conscientious about staring at me teeth. Obviuosly I would prefer the cheapest option. If you could help with your opnion on veneers and he best option for protruding teeth that would be great
thank you

Can I have my protruding front teeth straightened?

Monday, April 4th, 2011
Q.

My two front teeth have always protruded since I was young, I am 59 now and would like to have them straightened as they seem to be getting more uncomfortable. My dentist tells me that this may not be possible as my gums are receeding. Would having them crowned work, or would the crowns be the same shape as my teeth are now.

My teeth are quite long, could i get them filed down?

Friday, March 25th, 2011
Q.

I have a very toothy smile and was wondering if there is anything hat can be done for this. My teeth arent miss shaped or cruked, the issue is more that they are quite long and i have a look like a rabbit. My thought is that having them filed down would be a solutin however im not sure if this is possible or if there is a better solution.
