Hi Mark, I am 17 years old and I am really unhappy with the way my teeth look and therefore I am currently trying to decide what will be the best procedure for me to get in order to correct my smile. I am thinking of getting porcelain veneers but I am very worried about where to get them done and how to go about the whole procedure. Could you recommend any places and let me know whether you think this procedure will be best for me? Thank you.
Hello Dr Hughes. I have always wanted veneers for my teeth. They are very crooked and made worse in recent years due to my wisdom teeth (which desperately need removing) I also have a false tooth next to my front teeth on the right hand side. This was a temporary tooth put in when I was 15 (I’m now 27!) as I never grew another tooth on either side. (I can send pictures if necessary). I wanted a rough idea of treatment options and cost to correct my smile and straighten my awful teeth. I would be looking at maybe 6 veneers on the top and 4 along the bottom? I’d probably need them whitening also and any other treatment you think is necessary (such as removal of wisdom teeth). Thanks in advance I very much look forward to your reply.
Hi Dr Hughes. I would like some information and advice to help me out. I have a tooth, which, when I was younger that grew across the roof of my mouth. This was removed at a young age, when I was thirteen years old. Since then, the tooth next to my front two has spread into the gap. I would like to get this changed so it looks like 2 teeth. What are my options? I don’t want to have a gap any more. The tooth removed was the 2nd one after my front two and the one that’s next to my front 2 (top) has now in the middle of the gap showing a gap either side. Hello Dr Hughes, I am 20 years out and I have a very sweet tooth. My smile is my best asset, however what it hides is terrible. I’ve got many fillings and gold crowns and I want them fixed permanently, so my teeth don’t bleed when I brush. Half of one tooth is absent, but my smile, well my front teeth are amazing. The 4 top right teeth at the back need fixing. The 2 middle back teeth at the top left need fixing. 4 on the bottom two either side need fixing also. I’m really worried, how much will it cost? Hi, I would like to ask if it’s normal for the top part of a front crown, near the gum area to be bulky? It seems to be interfering with my lip when I close my mouth. I asked my dentist about this and they said it wasn’t possible to thin it out, they are porcelain crowns. I also have a dental bridge used for the crowns on all of my front 5 teeth. I strongly feel it makes me appearance look out of place with the bulkiness. I would like to get them re-done but there’s no way would I pay the amount I already paid for, if the bulkiness can be removed. What do you suggest?
Hello Mark, I have a slight under-bite and was looking in to getting it rectified. I recently visited two orthdontists, both of whom thought that though the surgery was an option, a braces program of 18 months would correct it. Just to cover all angles, can veneers give the appearance of an under-bite correction? From internet browsing it seems some say yes , and others are saying no! I’ve got some pictures I can send to you – I know a closer examination would be needed but I’m just curious at this stage of what kind of treatment options are available to me! Hi. I was wondering if you could help me please I’m going to be completely honest because it’s really destroyed my life, When I was younger I had epilepsy and the medication I was treated with ruined my teeth. All my life I have been bullied over my problem and after having two children I would like to have a photo with them but cant I’m so scared there going to get bullied too because of the way there mummy looks. I know there are people out there who have a worse looking teeth then me, but it really effects my life I have no friends and social anxiety all because I’m afraid to open my mouth.
