My teeth have been moved by my fixed retainer, but my orthodontist disagrees, what can I do?

Wednesday, January 5th, 2011
Q.

I’ve been wearing essix retainers for six months since having my brace removed and no problems. Four days ago I had 2 thin stainless steel bonded retainers fixed to both both and top teeth. Within two days my top teeth had moved dramatically. Trouble is my orthodontist is adamant that they havn’t moved. I can see and feel the difference. What on earth can I do since he’s thrown away my essix retainers? He has since made me new essix retainers to fit over the bonded retainers but that’s not going to get them back to the original position. I feel very fed up as I’ve paid £3800 for this.

I wear a brace, but my teeth are moving incorrectly. What should I do?

Monday, November 22nd, 2010
Q.

Hello,
I had braces when i was 15 (now 21) and still wear my retainer regularly – atleast once every 2-3 weeks. I’ve just noticed the two front teeth on the bottom have started to move back and they also move very slightly when i press them with my finger. they’re not wobbly but just show some movement if i press them. Is this normal?? I’ve been wearing the retainer a couple of days now which seems to have helped. is it a good idea to keep wearing the retainer everyday and should i keep it up long term?

I don’t have any insurance so haven’t been to the dentist, what can I do?

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010
Q.
I got in to a fight. I bit into someone arms. While I had a grip of their arm they yanked away pulling three of my botton teeth to the front. So for now my teeth is pushed out from my top teeth and its hard for me to talk. I havent been to the dentist yet becasue of no insurance. Is it possible that I can get my teeth pushed back in place? Or do I have to get them removed? Im tryin to keep all my teeth.,

Thursday, July 29th, 2010
Q.
hi.my problem is a little bit more complicated. i had a titanum stripe for 1 month on 3 teeth because the middle one was moving. i took the stripe out 2 days ago and now the tooth next to it(the one that had stripe to stabilise the middle one) is moving s well. cand you tell me,please why is that? i can tell thet the gum is a little bit inflamated adn the tooth in not moving to bad but more than the others. thank you very much!,
