How quickly might you be able to do an implant to minimise the denture wearing?

Friday, April 30th, 2010
Q.
Dear Dr Moore, You have been reccomended to me by my colleague whos husband John Longdon has recently had treatment from you. I have a post crown with a root fracture. because of previous apisectomy ( i think thats how you spell it) I also have bone loss and the tooth is very very loose. I cannot have a bridge because the bone structure is too weak and I dont want to be with a permenant denture and wondered how quickly you might be able to do an implant to minimise the denture wearing? My dentist (now previous) wouldn’t help me with this just kept filling the back of the tooth until eventually it has become so loose that it is almost falling out! I have an appointment at Eastman’s tomorrow as they think that I may need the tooth surgically removed which I am obviously also not very pleased about. The whole thing is a nightmare and I am worried. I was wondering what your advice would be? Regards.,

Will my toddlers loose tooth tighten back up?

Monday, April 19th, 2010
Q.
My 3 year old had a fall and knocked her front tooth. When I looked it was slightly out of position, and when I touched it to see if it was loose I moved it back to what looks like its correct position. There was somebleeding. I am terrified of it falling out. It feels slightly loose. Will it tighten up, and if not what can be done?,

What treatment is available for a Loose front tooth on the lower jaw?

Friday, April 2nd, 2010
Q.
Hi Rob. A very quick question on behalf of my father. He has a loose front tooth on his lower jaw and I wanted to check what his options were in terms of treatment. His 55 years old. I dont know whether dentists still cement loose teeth or whether that practice has stopped. From a quick search on the net it seems that either a denture with a single tooth, core & post or splinting are the 3 main options. Is this case or is there other options? Any information/advice would be hugely appreciated. regards.,

I cannot afford NHS dental treatment but what can be done?

Monday, March 8th, 2010
Q.
hi i really hope you can help me i had an accident when i was young and lost four of my front teeth. since then i have had drowns which have been fine until now. over the last couple of years i have had a problem with one tooth in particular it keeps falling out because the remaining tooth is damaged. i have seen at least 6 different nhs dentists who are reluctant to help and send me to private dentists who want to charge me a fortune! i would just like to be seen by a cofident and competent dentist who can give me the right advice and treatment. i have ssen one dentist who was prepared to do the extraction of the damaged tooth and th eroot treatment to the tooth next to it but they are ceasing to exist before my treatment can be done! i dont know where to turn or what is the best treatment for me can i have an implant or a bridge on the nhs?,

Is dental crown falling out as can see some of original tooth?

Monday, February 8th, 2010
Q.
I have had a crown on my top front left tooth for 15 years. It now has shifted down some from the gum and you can see the original tooth a little. The gum around the tooth does hurt a little. Is this a sign that the crown may be falling out? I am considering whitening my teeth and replacing the crown. Im not sure what to do but I am so paranoid that it will fall out.,
