I’ve Recently Had Dental Implants. I Don’t Think One Of Them Fits Properly. Should I Get A Second Opinion?

Hi Mark. I’ve recently had dental implants and on one of them which is a bridge over two implants you can see the metal implant like the crown doesn’t quite fit, it’s definitely the metal of the implant that can be seen and not the crown, there is a small gap between crown and gum.
My dentist has said that there is nothing he can do about it but reading up I’m wondering if a gingival graft would bring the gum down a bit to cover the metal implant. Is this possible or will I need a completely new bridge?
My dentist is private and I have paid a lot of money to get all of my treatment done, is it the dentist at fault if the crown doesn’t fit properly or is it down to me to pay out for more treatment?

I Had To Make A Complain About An Ill Fitting Plate A Dentist Gave Me. Do You Know How Much It Will Cost To Fix This?

Hello Mark. I recently had a cap on a plinth removed which was replaced by an ill fitting plate that fits uncomfortably in the roof of my mouth. This makes it hard to actually speak clearly. I have a large gap the size of two teeth at the top which is really embarrassing. Please can you supply a solution and also an approximate cost of what it would be to fix this? I have made a complaint against the dentist to the dental regulator. This was on advice from another dentist who told me it was the worst piece of dentistry he has seen. I look forward to your reply. My Crown Keeps Falling Out. What Can I Do If The Gap Is Too Small For An Implant?

Hi Mark. I have a small crown next to my front tooth which I have had for nearly 20 years, which keeps falling out. I have been told the gap is too small for implants or screw in teeth. What are the options I have? If I have to keep it what is the best way of making sure it stays attached to my other teeth as it is very embarrassing.  It is right at the front of my smile. It has been stuck in with cements three or four times but they don’t seem to be able to secure it. Thank you for your reply in advance.

I Think I Lost A Cap When Eating. Could You Tell Me How Much It Costs To Replace?

Hello Dr Moore, I really hope you can help me. My cap came off from my front left tooth recently and I think I must of swallowed it after eating because I felt this funny gap when I was through eating. I have had a cap on my front left tooth since the age of 12, and I am 58 years old now and it has come off only twice and replaced. There is like a peg left in, I guess that’s what my dentist did before he gave me a cap. I am so depressed, I feel so ugly, I can’t even look in the mirror or go outside to talk to anyone until I get this fixed. I don’t have insurance but I am willing to pay cash, how much do you think this will cost? Please help me and thank you for your time.

How Much Will My Partial Denture Affect The Look Of My Face?

Hi Mark, I’d like your advice. I’m having 4 top teeth removed for partial denture. They stick out to a V shape at the front. Now there isn’t much space so the front teeth will be made narrower to fit the gap, will this look normal? My top lip is full, so will bringing the teeth back straight make my lip really thin?
My chin sticks out a bit an I’d like to know if this will this make it stick out more? I am desperate to alter my sticky out teeth and have a better smile. At the moment the 4 front teeth stick out so much they rest on my bottom lip. Thanks.

I Think My Jaw Has Lowered Recently. What Can I Do To Fix This?

I’ve recently noticed that my jaw has begun to look like its on a angle, am not sure whether it has always been like this, but from what I can remember this is something that has happened recently and I can’t take my mind of it, I constantly try and place my top teeth on top of my bottom teeth so they go straight but my jaw seems to of lowered, why is this? If I place my top fang directly on top of my bottom fang on my left hand side I can almost push my finger through the gap on the other side of my mouth, if I place my fang directly above my other fang tooth on the right side there is no gap at all, am beginning to become really self conscious because of this, I’m pretty sure this has just came about in the last few months, what can I do about this?

Hello Dr Moore. My wife has Nobel Biocare implants and it seems the top denture is removable and the bottom one in permanent. She has had them for seven years. They are getting loose and needs new screws to hold them in place. As it is there used to be a gap between the denture and the gum line, it is no longer there and it is causing her some discomfort. What would be the cost of component restorative portion? How long does the procedure take? Thank you in advance for any advice you can give me on this matter.

Hi Dr Hughes, I’m worried because I’m pretty sure that I might have gingivitis. My gums are always slightly bleeding and I can NEVER brush my teeth without seeing “pink” in the sink and to make matters worse, what used to be a tiny gap has gotten bigger and one tooth seems to be growing outward. What is your advice on this? Who can seriously afford braces in this economy and is there any Drug store medicine besides mouthwash that would rid me of the bleeding gums once and for all? Hello, I Have A Big Fear Of The Dentists, But I Have To Go. What Are My Options?

Hello, I have a really huge fear of the dentist as of bad experiences with them when I was younger and I have extremely bad anxiety and panic attacks. I have had a big filing fall out which has caused a big section of my tooth to come out and I can’t eat or sleep properly due to the pain, I have my first appointment with a dentist on Tuesday but I’m really terrified. Is it possible for you to tell me if you know whether I can be put asleep for treatment before treatment or something along those lines? Where would treatment like this be available to me? Should I Ask My Dentist For Dental Implants?

Hi Dr Butt. I was wondering if you could help me with something? A few years ago I had a bottom molar removed and the one next to it was removed a few months after. Since then I’ve had a large gap there and nothing has been suggested to fill it, my dentist has never recommended anything. I’ve been looking into dental implants because I feel like my jaw on that side is slipping slightly due to no support. Do you think I need dental implants? Or am I being a little drastic? As I said my dentist has said nothing about the gap, I thought maybe a partial denture? But I am looking for something more permanent. Can you have implants to replace two teeth? I was led to believe it was for a whole row? Thanks.
