I Was Wondering If A Bridge Would Work For My Misaligned Canine?

Tuesday, May 27th, 2014
Q.

Hello and thank you for your time. I have a question about bridges, I don’t know anything about them really but I have my two central incisors then either side of them my lateral incisors are behind and then I have a canine tooth sitting high and misaligned. I was wondering if tooth removal and a bridge would be a good choice for speed of treatment? I do not wish to have any type of brace/orthodontic treatment to correct this? Anyway, thank you very much.

I’ve Started Feeling Some Discomfort After A Deep Cavity Filling. Is It Normal For A Cavity Filling To Take This Long To Heal?

Tuesday, March 11th, 2014
Q.

I had a dentist appointment on for a cleaning. I was not experiencing any problems but my dentist said that I had 2 cavities that needed to be filled. I had those filled a week later. About two weeks later, I started feeling some discomfort, so I went back and he said the bite was off so he did some drilling and had me bite down and said it should be better. I am still experiencing the same problem. I went back a week after that and he did not do anything and told me to be patient. Is it normal for a cavity filling to take this long to heal? I hope you can help me with this.

Would It Be Better For Me To Get A Bridge Or An Implant?

Tuesday, February 18th, 2014
Q.

Hello Andrew, I have lost 2 teeth at the top right back, I use a denture at the moment but can I get a double bridge made for the missing teeth? I have a stable tooth both sides of the gap. I have considered implants but I think a bridge is maybe a better solution, I also have a crown on the bottom left but the post snapped inside but the dentist managed to find it but I don’t feel safe to eat on it as it feels like it’s going to fall out so I would like a bridge on this also. What do you think would be the best solution for this problem?

Can Old Veneers Be Removed Or Filed Down? Mine Are Too Thick And Don’t Match The Rest Of My Mouth.

Thursday, October 24th, 2013
Q.

Can old veneers be removed?
Many years ago I had them fitted and they have always looked too thick. I would like to know if they can be filed down to look slimmer.

I have never had the nerves or the money to do anything about this as I used to suffer from panic attacks and could not face the thought of going to the dentist.

It would be more affordable to me if the teeth I have now could sort of be modernised, like skimmed down so I don’t look as though my teeth are so thick.

They don’t seem to suit the rest of my teeth.

At the time I paid £500 pounds for them at a dentist in Manchester.

I had the teeth done as a result of domestic violence and one tooth was chipped but the other was perfectly okay.

However the dentist said I should have the two of them done for a better result?

I would appreciate your help and guidance.

Kindest regards.

Would Veneers Mask My Rotated Teeth?

Friday, May 31st, 2013
Q.

Hi
I am just inquiring about veneers, I have a slight chip in my front tooth and the incisors next to them are rotated slightly, I would ideally like them porcelain veneers and would like as much information as possible and any recommendations you may have, I often find my tooth gets caught on my lip due to its rotation and would love it either straightened or veneers on the front four teeth. I am unsure if it is possible to get only the from four teeth as veneers ? If this is possible what would you recommend ? I am overall happy with the rest of my teeth they are relatively white and overall straight apart from the four front one wich have the small chip and are rotated, I am a little worried by veneers as they are not necessarily perminant and I’m unsure how long they last and how much they cost to replace and how often ? I love the Holywood type smiles but don’t think I could keep up with the constant upkeep ? I would ideally like to disguise the rotated teeth as they make me unhappy with my teeth so they would be my priority, is it possible to use veneers to disguise rotated teeth or is it best to just get these teeth straightened ? Overall I would love a straight white smile and by fixing these four teeth I think I would be much more happy with my smile. Thank you for your time. Kind regards

Can my growing wisdom teeth cause my already protruding incisor to look even worse?

Wednesday, December 12th, 2012
Q.

Hi Dr Moore. My problem is that my lateral incisor sticks out as there isn’t enough space between my canine and front incisor so it sits on top of both with a small gap behind about 1/2 cm. I could be wrong but the canine appears to be larger then the other side and is square in shape and is wider at the bottom. My top wisdom teeth have been coming up really slowly for about 2 years no and I am worried that they may push my teeth further making it worse. Can this happen? I am already very paranoid about it…also I am a bit apprehensive about braces so would appreciate any ideas on other solutions. Any advice would be great, thank you.
