Hi. I’m messaging you as I recently went to the dentist. She did what she could for me and since then (8 months ago) I’ve quit smoking I have done all of what she suggested but my teeth just seem to get worse. I have over lapping teeth at the front which wouldn’t be so bad if the enamel were there but its completely gone. So much so, that I have dark shadows on them I can’t bear to smile. I then thought I’d pay to have them whitened with a friend, hers were amazing mine not too bad but my 2 front teeth look the same, I’m at a loss, what should I do? I’m so sick of smiling though a closed mouth or hiding it with my hand. I’m 31 & I would rather have all my teeth taken out & have dentures rather than have this for the rest of my life.

Monday, April 14th, 2014I am a 43 years old divorced mother of two and have been diagnosed with bone loss on the upper right and lower right of my face. I am being treated with chlorhexidine gluconate. I have been using this for 3 weeks now and have seen no improvement. I also suffer from graves disease. What should my next step be? The receding gums seem aggressive and this was not being treated at all by my dentist. He did my fillings and then the pains began – since January I’m now being treated by an orthodontist who assured that dentures will not be needed any time soon. Would this be a good method compared to let’s say braces. I was considering getting braces but then I was told about this option. Are the veneers permanent, or do they not last very long? Thursday, March 13th, 2014Dear Dr Moore. I have my front 6 top teeth crowned and the crowns need replacing as the metal is showing at the top and they look false now. They were done for cosmetic reasons as my teeth were discoloured and I was very self conscious and rarely smiled.
They have been wonderful but recently I have become aware of them looking very artificial in photos. My teeth underneath are still strong and healthy according to the X-rays,

I feel my teeth are quite discoloured I would just get them whitened but many years ago I chipped both of my front teeth whilst on holiday. This was rebuilt by a dentist that morning. They were fine but I feel the bottom of my 2 front teeth are quite thin and don’t look right. Basically as the bottom of these teeth are not my own I’m not sure if they will whiten? Also one of my K9 teeth has a filling on the front and the whole tooth is very discoloured. I’m at a loss as to what my best options are and to be honest the very top of my budget would be £1000, could you advise me please?

Tuesday, February 18th, 2014Hi, my two front teeth are capped and discoloured and the tooth to the direct left is also a cap but will be removed as it fractured, meaning I will need a denture there. My dentist has suggested replacing the caps and having a bridge fixed to my teeth for the tooth I will lose, which will improve appearance. The cost is £1800. My question is, would that be the best treatment and would it be better to get the tooth on the right of front teeth done also as it’s discoloured too, if so what would you see as the best option for price?
