Can veneer be removed and replaced with better looking one?

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010
Q.
I had bonding done 6 years ago on 2 chipped front teeth. Although it still looked good I decided to have it done again because there was some decay setting in. My dentist placed a veneer (unsure what kind) on another tooth next to the bonded one. I think he did it because it had a filling and the color didn’t match with the bonded ones. Unfortunately, I really don’t like the way it turned out. Can he remove the veneer from my normal tooth and how can he fix my smile after the work has already been done,

My teeth look too white and unreal after getting veneers

Friday, February 26th, 2010
Q.
After getting porcelain veneer in my whole mouth and in addition my bite was raised (expensive!), I’ve been told that my teeth look too white, I wanted white teeth but did not realize I would be so uncomfortable, and so self-conscious that I try to hide them and careful when I smile. As you may guess guess, I am unhappy. Can you tell me if there is anything that I can do or be done to tone down the too white and unreal looking veneers?,

What can be done to stop teeth from turning black?

Friday, February 26th, 2010
Q.
Hi, one of my top front teeth started to show signs of discoloration & i when i went to the dentist he advised i had a root canal & a vaneer fitted. I have noticed that the tooth underneath the vaneer has started to turn black, is there anything i can do? Also i have noticed that the other tooth has now started to discolour like the other one did, is there anything i can do to stop this turning black as well? I have contemplated whitening but how will this affect if i have had a vaneer fitted?,

How can teeth that are out of line be treated?

Friday, February 26th, 2010
Q.
Hi there, I have a big teeth comparing to my jaw, one of my front teeth stands out, it’s not inline with the others which am not comfortable with. My teeth length varies. Do you think I can sort out my teeth length problem by filing? How about considering a veneer for the front teeth? How much it will cost? would I need a veneer for the filed teeth? Many thanks,

Would teeth look natural if I got veneers and whitening?

Thursday, February 25th, 2010
Q.
Hello I am 56 years old and am about to start orthognathic treatment which will probably take 3 years. In addition to the orthodontic problems that require this treatment, I would also like to improve the look of my teeth, possibly through veneers and teeth whitening. Generally my teeth are looking a bit yellow but my two front upper teeth are particularly bad, in that the lower half of each tooth is much yellower that the upper half and the teeth are slightly ridged. Therefore my question is: If I had veneers on my two front upper teeth would the rest of my teeth be able to be whitened and would it all look natural? My orthodentist has said that any cosmetic work should really be done after the orthnographic procedure is complete. I hope,

Can you explain the cost difference between types of veneers?

Thursday, February 25th, 2010
Q.
Hi, Could you possibly explain the difference between the types of porcelain veneers. There seems to be a big price difference, and I just wanted to know the reason. Would it be strength? look etc. Also would you recommend a particular type for front teeth? Many Thanks,
