Can I hv another bridge done in NHS Plz advice

Q.
I had a bridge for about 15years which consisted of 2 back crowns a front crown which supported the 2 teeth that were missing on the upper jaw and the bridge was good but it started to come loose and my dentist told me that it was because my gums were receeding so it would have to be replaced so it was with a front and back crown that was nearly 5 years ago but now the bridge has broke off from the front crown, The same dentist has suggested a denture as I would not get another bridge,As dental treatmant is so expensive in the UK I was thinking about haveing it done abroad, So please could you advise me if there is any other options with the NHS about haveing another bridge done? Thank You

My dentist gave veneers and crowns as option Plz help

I went to a local dentist and ask about my options for my two front teeth that are SLIGHTLY worn away on the bottom. he said he would do crowns. I said NO. BECAUSE I didn’t want so much of my teeth to be taken away. He said he would do veneers. I left the office devistated because he took my two front teeth down to miniature chicklets. He put on temps that are joined together in the center and are very tough.I am sick over this.He is charging more for veneers than crowns. He has now choice to me but to do crowns. What can I do. I called the office and left a message to call me immediately on Monday. What is my recourse?

My crown and root canal filling fell out Am I in big trouble?

My crown fell off at dinner and now the root canal filling fell out. My dentis t is on vacation and I leave tomorrow “on a jet plane”. Am I in big trouble with the hole.

What is the cause for other unit of bridge to feel rough?

Hello Dr Solanki I had a missing tooth at the back of my upper teeth, the front two had previously been veneered some 14 years ago and one tooth next to a front tooth was a crown. I wanted the crown replaced, a bridge to be fitted to fill the missing tooth and the rest of my uppert teeth, which were healthy, to be veneered. The dentist thought it best to replace the whole upper teeth with two seper bridges, one starting from the right front and one fron the left front, a total of 11 teeth. the bridge unit starting from the left is ok , feeling quite smooth, but the other unit feels rough.What is causing this and what would be the remedy, and also, is it wise to file down perfectly healthy teeth to take a bridge? Why to hv full root canal procedure when there is no infection?

#14 molar had cold and sweet sensetivity. USC Dental school removed decay close to pulp, pulled nerves, filled cavities, put temp crown. told there is no sign of infection. If nerves are already pulled why go to the proceedure and cost of full root canal , Why not return for full crown only, Cavity was deep soft dentin close to the pulp i believe was the cause of pain

I m 55 Dentures or crowns What would you suggest?

Hello I am 55 years old and have lots of crowns front top and bottom, they must be over 20yrs old now. I have two partial dentures, one at the top with 1 tooth and 1 at the bottom with 1 tooth. My question is, no confidence in my own teeth when I eat, keep thinking the crowns will fall out, and hate having the dentures, but they do look better when I smile, what woul you suggest? I woul like a nice smile with even teeth and no gaps…… help

Is crowning for £900 per tooth expensive Plz advice

I am looking to have my 2 crowns replaced as they are beginning to look discoloured (fitted 18 years ago) and I have some gum receeding. I am not convinced my dentist will do a good job and I have had another quote form an orthadontist for £900 per tooth – is this very expensive? I think my own dentist charges in the region of £300.

What would be reason for my crowns to come out

I had a route canel and crown in 1989 on my front right tooth.in july08 i had this redone (route canel and crown cost 1400) due to discolourment the crown has come out. there is nothing to hold it in as the nerve in tooth has been killed I have been advised to have a bridge or implant. would like to know why this happened and what you would suggest and some estimated figures please. Would i need to pay every time when my crown falls out

Hi i got a crown less than 6 months ago and it has feel out loads of times every time it falls out i have to pay £16.50 to get it put back in. when i paid £200.00 for the crown in the first place. am i ment to pay everytime it falls out whem its not my fault it barely last 2 weeks

Is it possible to add veneers to existing crowns?

Hi, I was wondering if it’s possible to add veneers to existing crowns? I have a fairly extensive bridge on my upper front teeth but have always felt that they are too flat and small compared to what my natural teeth would look like. I would love to have them longer and a bit more prominent and hoped that adding veneers may just be the answer? Many thanks,
