I have recently had a fall and smashed my face againt a wall, part of my front tooth has broken off which has now left the remainder of my tooth with a sharp point and looks awful. If i go to the detist will they be able to treat me right away, and what is the procedure to repair a chipped tooth. Is there any pain involved as i have a great fear of going to the dentists and avoid needles at all costs. And any idea of what the price would be.

Hi, I have radiating pain in my upper teeth. I believed it is one of the upper molar. There is nothing wrong with the tooth but I can feel sharp pain radiating. Sometimes, the pain goes away entirely. The gums are bleeding when I floss. Do I need a root canal? I’m scared since I’ve already had two in the past month.

I have a very large filling in one of my upper rear teeth

Hi, my question relates to crowns. I have a very large filling in one of my upper rear teeth (second from the back) my dentist thought the cavity was really a bit large to be filling but i didn’t want to lose the tooth so it was filled. I’ve been very careful with it and its lasted about 8 months but part of the tooth has now broken off, i assume this will only get worse and so my question is can the filling be ground down allong with the remaining tooth to support a crown, or does the filling have to be removed and the crown bonded just to the tooth as i don’t think there will be enough material to bond to if the filling is removed. thanks.

I cracked my front tooth about 25 yrs ago and had false bit put there but over the years it has discoloured and doesnt look nice.i also have sensitive teeth. but i would like nice white teeth would you recommend i have crowns or veneers? also if i found a dentist to do this work would i have to pay for it all in one go or would i be able to re-pay them in instalments? thankyou.

I have a crooked front tooth and the tooth next to it (not my other front tooth is kind of pushed back. I do not want braces because I am 26. I have a 3 unit bridge that i have had for several years. i was eating and broke the fake tooth part (the center tooth) in half. the front half (the part that shows) is missing and looks like black metal. the back part of the fake tooth is still intact as is the rest of the bridge. i have the part the part of the fake tooth that came off. can this piece be somehow glued back on or repaired without having to get a whole new bridge? please let me know what can be done. thank you so much.

my teeth have started to darken and go black in between

I have just noticed that in between my teeth….it seems to be black or darkening. I go to the dentist every year….The same office since 1970 and I am 48 years old. I have only had 2 cavities and that is it. ….other than wisdom teeth being removed. I am really unsure of this darkening and I noticed it again this morning….Sometimes it is not as bad. Could it be medicine or something happening with my body?
