Would home filling of a chipped tooth is safer than a private dentist

Hi, about 10 years ago, when i was about 11 years old,i fell in the shower and chipped my front teeth. At the time, the dentist filed down my teeth to straighten them out but, i guess, he couldnt straighten them completely because of the bite. So now, i am left with slighty wonky teeth, making a small upside V shape between the two. This really upsets me and hinders my confidence. I recently went to the dentist to ask for a cap or some extra filing but he said he couldnt as the cap would be too small whilst filing would be problematic for my bite. But to be honest, i’m not to bothered about my bite as i have an underbite anyway, i just want my teeth to be straight!Is there anything i could do? would private dentists do the job? or ive even read about home filing on the internet, is this really safe? Problem with my root canal treatment affecting my confidence and my lifestyle advice

Following an accident about 18 months ago one of my front teeth was knocked out- this was able to be replaced by a doctor in A and E. I then had root canal treatment on the tooth by my dentist. Unfortunately the tooth was not replaced straight and is alot more forward than the one at the side of it and slightly overlaps. Since the accident my confidance has been significantly affected. I find I cover my mouth when I laugh or smile. Also I have recently noticed movement in my gum when I bite down on the tooth- im concerned the tooth will crack or fall out and so I tend to eat on one side of my mouth away from the effected tooth. Are there any solutions available to restore my confidance in my smile and with eating food again? Thank you.

How can i correct tooth discoloration and front teeth are translucent are these about to crack?

Hi, I have had a root canal done about 13 years ago on one of my front teeth. Now, I am starting to see discoloration, and the tooth has a very little chip (which can’t really be seen). My question is do you have any suggestions what I can do to fix this problem of discoloration? Crown? Venners? Also, the rest of my front teeth are very thin on the bottom, also translucent. Do you what that may be from, and how can i avoid having problems with those teeth in the future? I just think that those teeth may be more prone to cracking? Is that true? I just recently noticed that i have a cracked tooth where i have already had a filling about a year ago. Early today i was brushing my teeth and noticed a chunk of the top of my tooth was missing and i looked in the mirror and noticed that all i can see is a little of my gums and the rest of my tooth which has some blackish spots. It doesn’t hurt but i’m worried its worse than i think and i’ll need a root canal. please help me understand what this is.

Hello Dr. Andrew; I want to carry out teeth whitening,but My teeth are seen to be cracked especially the two infront,on the upper jaw. the doctor said that i suffer from night teeth grinding and i wear a night guard which i really hate and feel uncomfortable with.I am 34 a mother of two 11 and 8years .I noticed this gringing habits only recently ,because before that my teeth are healthy. Now I highly like to whiten my teeth..but my Question is..is whitening cause more damage to my teeth or not ,if yes what is the best way to get back my smile.
