Sugar consumption has ruined my teeth please suggest a treatment.

Monday, November 30th, 2009
Q.
Hello, I am 16 and have been so scared to smile all my life. I have always had issues with my teeth. At the moment my top teeth are all slightly separated (especially my top 2 ones) and my bottom 2 teeth have decayed and are rotting because of drinking soft drinks. They have even gotten to the point where they are starting to chip off. The bottom two ones have black blotches in them and it makes me feel very unconfident with smiling. I have good dental hygiene in the sense that i floss and brush 2 times daily using a soft brush, but i have ruined my teeth with the amount of sugar i have consumed over the years. What dental procedure would you recommend that could possibly fix my issue to have a beautiful smile?

Hi My tempory veneer has come off. Does it matter if I don’t get it re-attached and just wait for the final veneer to be attached? (I have to wait 7 days).

Temporary veneers were better than permanents once can it be remade?

Monday, November 30th, 2009
Q.
Hi, I have just had veneers fitted. Firstly I have temporary ones for 3 weeks which I had adjusted once, I little trimmed off the bottom then I was 100% happy with them, so the lab went ahead and made my permanent veneers. But now that I have them fitted they look a lot different from my temps, a lot smaller and shorter. My original teeth looked better, and I have paid over £3000 for te veneers. Would it be possible to go back in and get them re-made? Thanks.

My milk tooth was removed and never grew back.

Monday, November 30th, 2009
Q.
I am 19. I have a canine tooth missing – it never grew in after my milk tooth was removed. I have been told by many people that it would be fine and that I could just leave it as it is, so I did. I’m noticing that my teeth are beginning to shift into the gap, however, considering its been a number of years already since my milk tooth was removed, the other teeth has only shifted a little. What would be the worst thing that could happen and CAN i just leave it as it is?

I need to change my dentist as my teeth in total are messed up.

Friday, November 27th, 2009
Q.
I am a 29 year old male and near enough all my back teeth have either fallen out or are decaying really badly. I have my front teeth however I feel unless I am able to get some help with this I then they will go the same way. Not to bore you with the details however I have been through a pretty tough time over the past few years and medication has not helped with the decyaing of my teeth I feel. Due to this I have not visited a dentist for years and this has meant I have ended up with the teeth I have. I am now at a point where I both need and want to do something about them and I feel if I could get partial dentures to the back of my mouth, both upper and lower this would help me out. The problem I have is that I live in Scotland, (Glasgow Area) and I do not know who to go for to help me out and also any idea of the cost I would be looking at for this. I am totally and utterly embarassed by the way I have let my mouth/teeth get into the mess they have. I do now however need help and would hate for a dentist to give me into trouble for the mess of my mouth as I am already mortified. Any help or assistance you are able to give would be greatly apprieciated. Thanks very much in advance

I have been suggested dentures and implants do I have other options?

Friday, November 27th, 2009
Q.
Hi I have recently suffered a fracture to my upper right canine which had a cantilever bridge attached with a pontic for the lateral incisor. I have the same arrangement on the left upper side and two veneers on my central incisors. This is because I never got my permanent lateral incisors. My dentist says the only option for me is a denture or implants. I really don’t want to go back to having a denture but I don’t think I can afford implants. Would it not be possible to have another type of bridge using my front incisor and the canine for support? As What other options could I have? thanks
