Is it Possible to Correct My Crowded Teeth?

Thursday, April 16th, 2015
Q.

Hello. I have two to three crowded teeth, on the lower jaw next to the canine and on the upper jaw. I am 40 years old. From childhood I’ve felt that I am not confident, I don’t speak as well as others due to my teeth.
Is there any way to align my teeth at this stage so that I can earn some money by teaching for my family? I was  a good student but I’m not a good teacher. I want to be a good teacher, to relax and feel confident. Please reply, is it possible to correct this?

Is tooth reshaping a better option than dental implants?

Tuesday, October 4th, 2011
Q.

My girlfriend underwent canine substitution as treatment for congenital missing maxillary lateral incisors. Functionally they are fine but they still look very much like candies. I have spoken to somedentists who suggest moving all her teeth back to create a space for implants reversing all the work she had done in adolecence which is unacceptable to us. Having done some research into it I have discovered dentist who wrote a paper on managing this condition called kokich who clearly shows that tooth reshaping is an option (this together with a whole host of academic literature of the same). Can you confirm if this is an option and who in Hampshire might undertake such a procedure
Thank

Can I have a veneer put on my sharp canine tooth?

Monday, June 6th, 2011
Q.

Hello Doctor

I have a sharp canine tooth which is not aesthetically pleasing and I wondered if it would be safe to have a porcelain veneer put on it?

Additionally, my two front teeth are longer than I’d like them to be and wondered if it was safe to have they filed down and I wondered how much that would cost on average and if it would cause any future problems?

Lastly, is teeth whitening safe?

thank you for your time

What options are available to correct a gap in my teeth that has emerged after braces?

Wednesday, November 17th, 2010
Q.
Hi, I had braces in my mid- teens and had to have two teeth taken out. I was assured that there would be no gaps left when the treatment was completed. But there was a gap. It is not as large as the original canine was but still is large (about 3/4 mms in width). I was told I could get braces again but that the gap would re-emerge. I declined. Another dentist told me it is too small a gap for bridges to be used. I am in my mid-twenties now and I want this fixed, for cosmetic reasons but also because the other teeth are starting to slowly seperate from one another. Please provide some solutions. Thanks,

Monday, October 4th, 2010
Q.
I have braces on my upper teeth. Recently i went to the dentist and was told that i have a horizontal tooth in my gums, and there my permanent canine is above that. That is, my canine and the horizontal tooth are colliding due to which my canine cant come down. The dentist says thet i will have to have an attachment placed on my tooth to make it straight. Is there any other way to solve this problem as i am scared of operations.,

Monday, October 4th, 2010
Q.
Hi Rob I recently lost one of of my canine teeth dury a football match. My two front teeth are also showing signs of rot and some off my other teeth are badly decayed and broken down. What would be the best form of treatment? Would it be getting crowns or having dental implants. Any advice is greatly appreciated Many thanks,

I’m scared about my problem and would like to know if veneers are a good option?

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010
Q.
I have a misplaced line on my top teeth and my right 3 rd tooth (canine) was removed when i was 15 years old so my smile is not symetrical, i dont want to have braces as im not confident enough. I have considered having veener work done on 4 of my front teeth to create a symetrical smile. Honestly im scared and really want some good advice on whether this could be a good option for me. I need to find somthing that will not destroy my confidence any longer. I’m 28 years old now and i think veneers could be a calm option for me.,

I think I have an overbite and my teeth are wonky. Would Invisalign be a good option?

Wednesday, August 25th, 2010
Q.
Hi, I’m a 20 year old female considering Invisalign braces. None of my teeth from canine to canine touch and my front teeth are a bit wonky. Would they be any good? There is a good 5mm gap between them and I think I have an overbite too.,
