Hello, I fell down a concrete stair well and smashed my front tooth when I was 9. I have had a lot of work on my teeth over the years and braces as well I have been left with a large crown. That gets infected month after month. My dentist gave me the option of a tooth on a palate or just take it out and leave a gap in the front of my mouth. I don’t want a gap and a palate would make me sick with the food getting stuck under it and my gum has turned purple and it is shrinking back from the front tooth, my 2 front teeth. Now I have an overbite, I have gaps now in all my upper front teeth due to the work over the year. I have asked for my teeth to be fixed or if not all at least my front crown, the dentist has told me that I would have to be referred and it’s a cost of £2000/£3000 just to get my front tooth sorted, I get NHS credits as well so I don’t pay. I have had to change my Dentist as they just keep giving me antibiotics every month, I don’t not know if the infections is coming off the crown and spreading in my mouth. I get puss filled lumps on the front of my gums and you can see them when I smile. I would just like someone to just help me I sick of the pain and the infections and I would just like a nice simple smile. Thank you so much if you can reply.

I Smashed A Tooth When I Was Younger, I Need Advice On How To Fix My Smile?
Friday, November 8th, 2013Hi! I Have A Broken Tooth And I’m Afraid It Will Hurt To Get Treatment To Sort It Out. Do You Know Of Any Natural Remedy?
Thursday, October 3rd, 2013Hello Dr Gambroudes! I really want to ask you a question. I’m a teenager and I have a broken tooth. It’s my first time that this has happened in my entire life. It hurts only sometimes when I eat, but not that often. I’m afraid to remove that bad part of the tooth from a dentist with those tools they use because I know it’s painful. Is there any home remedy or natural substance that with help me remove that part and then go to the dentist to fill it? Thanks a lot.
My Inlay Fell Out, Will My Dentist Give Me A Better One?
Friday, June 7th, 2013Hello Dr Bohara, my composite inlay has fallen out.The inlay was fitted as half of my tooth broke bad .What do i need to do ?? go back to my dentist an have a new inlay fitted .Is there a possibility that it will happen again ? My tooth was not suitable for a crown when I went as the break where near the gum line .Can you please be so kind to advise me what to do? Thanks. The inlay only lasted two weeks and then it fell out .Are these inlays strong enough to be fitted and are there other alternatives which may be stronger ? I’m not sure about having another inlay unless I can be assured that it will last as long as it needs to. Would love to hear back from you soon, thanks.
I Don’t Want A Gap, What Could I Do To Replace My Broken Tooth?
Wednesday, May 29th, 2013I have a broken tooth which has been filled. My dentist informs me there is insufficient tooth remaining for a crown, or cap as these are likely to break off which may be dangerous as I may swallow it and choke. Also, as there is only one tooth to one side of it (top upper right) my dentist says a bridge would not be suitable. I can not afford an implant and do not want a gap. Is there anything else that could be done?
Would An Implant Work For My Broken Tooth?
Friday, May 24th, 2013I have a broken off tooth, which i am told cannot be crowned because it is below the gum line, what is available treatment and cost bearing in mind the tooth next to it is crowned. If an implant is the answer will it affect the tooth next to it.Is there any other solution and can i have the rest of the teeth whitened. I live near Bath so what is the closest practice to have the treatment. Could i have the other teeth veneered and how much does it cost?
How can I get my sons tooth permanently fixed?
Friday, April 19th, 2013Dr Patel
My 8 year old son chipped the corner of his (adult) front tooth yesterday. We still have the broken piece of tooth.
What are our options for repairing this? We have him booked to see his regular dentist tomorrow to check that everything is OK but we’d like something that is relatively permanent while understanding that his teeth may still be moving and will get a little longer over the coming years.
Your are relatively local so were considering a visit if you can help! I would be very happy if you could give me some help and your opinion on this. Kind regards
My Tooth Is Breaking Below The Gum, Can You Fix It?
Friday, March 22nd, 2013 hello, recently I have been experiencing problems with chewing, one of my teeth feels unstable and as though it could just fall to pieces. So I went to the dentist and they told me that I have had a tooth breaking (partly below gum line I am told), it is my upper left 4th one. So I’d like to know really how likely is it that I find a dentist who will rebuild it? I am reluctant to have the third tooth overcrowned as it has no filling so far and I can’t afford an implant this year and possibly not next – …
– would you agree with the option of a nesbit or should I go for a bridge (if I can’t find a dentist to rebuild) I have tried 2 so far and they just shook their heads).
Many thanks to you in advance for replying.
Can You Fix My Tooth Without Removing The Entire Bridge?
Friday, February 1st, 2013I have a bridge on top of 9 teeth, the bridge is one piece ,i broke one tooth ,is there any possibility to rebuild the tooth without removing entire bridge.I had the work done two years ago in my hometown in Poland whilst in Holland yesterday i had a tooth become detached, I was able to get it glued back in yesterday evening prior to leaving for London. My dentist in Poland asked that I return home and advised that the whole bridge would have to be replaced.I am alarmed by this and wpould request your opinion on the validity of this statement.I am working in the UK and would not wish to return to Poland for what ia advised would be for a period of at least 10days. I would appreciate a prompt reply. Thanks,
