Should I get a crown after my root canal treatment?

Q.
Hello, I have had pain in my back tooth on eating or drinking anything cold for over a year now. I recently visited Andrea Ubhi’s dental practise in York, on the first visit I was told I needed root canal treatment, on the second visit that I needed a crown fitting because of a crack in my tooth?! I would be greatful if you could advise me on what do you suggest I do now? Thanks.
A.
The treatment you have been advised is correct, once the root canal treatment has been carried out we recomend a crown to give the tooth strength, without this it will be prone to fracture.
