Should I Consider Hybrid Dentures?

Q.
Hi, I have been assessed for implants and have been informed that due to significant bone loss I am only suitable for “clip on” dentures which require small implants. My first choice would have been implant supported full round bridges. They did not mention or offer hybrid dentures which I understand can be fitted in a day and do not depend on jaw bone density or having bone graft/augmentation. Is this something you would recommend I should consider? Thank you.

Thank you for your question. My advice is to go for a second opinion from a recognised expert and/or specialist who places implants (such as a specialist prosthodontist, periodontist, or restorative dentist). Then all your options can be explored. Ask that the dentist has a large amount of experience in bone grafting and cases that are complicated due to very thin bone. Best wishes,  Mark.
