Hi, thanks for your enquiry, the apicetomy does need time to heal and it may just be a reinfection. let the antibiotics work and make sure you finish the course. it should be said that apicetomies are not blessed with great sucess rates and usually work in 60% of cases to clear the infection. if this does not work, your real only option would be to lose the tooth and maybe have a dental implant which would regain a tooth in the area. hope this information is helpful.
