Now My Gum Has Fully Healed, Would It Be Possible To Have Three Implants? What Would This Cost?

Q.
Hello Dr Hughes. I have had a number of teeth extracted over a 5 year period, the last being a year or so ago. The gum has now fully healed leaving no hole. My question is: Can I now get an implant? A replacement tooth to fill the gap left behind from a missing tooth even years after the tooth was extracted? If so, what is the procedure and rough idea of costs for 3 replacement teeth? Does it involve making a hole in the gum to place the implant in? Thank you.

Hello. Yes it might be possible to place a successful set of implants for you in the area where the tooth was removed several years ago – it may however require a bone graft as part of your treatment? This could be assessed at your examination. Costs vary depending on complexity and quality (of the implants, crowns and the dentists!) amongst many things but as a guide 3 implants with excellent ceramics and no bone grafting would be around the £9000-£12000 mark. Best wishes, Mark.
