NHS dentist has advised to have veneers please advise.
Q. My two front teeth are worn away at the bottom i had a bap inbetween when i was growing up for the past couple of years i have been getting the gap filled will tiny fillings iv just recently been to my dentist which is NHs and they said i should get veneers im unsure what to do ?? as my teeth are healthy otherwise
A. My advice would be to firstly find out what has caused your teeth to wear down as this can affect the restorations that are placed on your teeth. If after this you decide that your tooth shape needs to be improved then a veneer option would be reasonable

Hi, my daughter had a filling last tues, fews hrs later, the I cheek become swollen, (no pain in the tooth) its been going on for 2 days, then i decided to take her to the drs after she hadnt been eating or drink as she had a pain inside of her cheek and the Dr said its an infection and she is on antibodies, but shes still in pain, crying and painkiller hadnt helped at all, Its looks really horrible as the infections yellow , Im thinking of taking her to the A&E on mon if it doesnt get any better by on mon so I dont know whether i should be taking her back to the dentists or the A&E?
Hi I went to my dentist on Wednesday with severe tooth pain. He xrayed my back bottom left side tooth and said I needed root canal treatment. I have been prescribed a weeks worth of antibiotics and have an appointment next Friday to start treatment. However, since Thursday my back top right tooth has become extremely painful. is it possible to have two infections at the same time and if so should I visit my dentist again before Friday. The reason I ask is because I am concerned that the antibiotics will have eliminated any signs of infection in the top tooth by Friday and so may not be treated.
Hi I,ve got an infection in an already root filled molar tooth. after 3 days antbiotics didn’t help & went back to dentist yesterday to remove tooth but infection so bad even with maximum numbing injections it was too painful. so dentist opened up tooth to drain & have to continue antibiotics(amoxicillin) which finish tomorrow evening. I’m still in pain & can’t see how 1 more days tablets will clear infection completely until my next appointment in 2 weeks time what do you think. Also is it possible it may infect tooth next to it as its now a little sensitive to bite since yesterdays rather heavy attempt to remove other tooth? many thanks
