My Veneer Has Been In Place For 18 Years. Do You Know Of Any Way To Brighten It Up?

Q.
Hello Dr Hughes. I could do with some advice as I don’t have a great amount of knowledge on current cosmetic dental treatments and I’m not too aware of what is available. Can you please let me know how I can brighten up my veneer on my front tooth? This has been in place for the last 18 years and it’s starting to look a little bit dingy. How long is a veneer supposed to last? Would tooth whitening help me with this problem? Thank you for your time.
A.
Hello and thank you for getting in touch. After 18 years it’s probably time to replace it and maybe whiten the rest of your teeth first then match them up? Try to seek out an experienced cosmetic dentist for this treatment who lives locally to you. If you would like further information, this website has information on each treatment which may help you understand which treatments are available and how they are performed. I hope this helps you for the time being. Kind regards, Dr Hughes.
