My two front teeth are large and I know I won’t benefit from braces, so what are my options?

Q.
My two front teeth are much longer than the rest and make me look goofy. I’ve been bullied most of my life for it and finally need something done to fix them. They don’t protrude so there would be no benefit of Having braces. I have heard of people having them filed down, is this possible and what are the advantages and disadvantages as i have heard that your teeth can end up with sensitivity issues afterwards. Also can you tell me What other options are available please?
A.
It may be possible to simply adjust the teeth so they are smaller but of course there is a limit to what can be achieved with this. The solution may also be to make the other teeth look slightly bigger, or a combination of the two? Without seeing you it’s impossible to accurately advise you. Composite bonding or veneer placement might also work but again. I’d reserve judgement on that until I had examined you thoroughly
