My teeth are very worn down due to severe acid erosion, how much should I expect to pay to have this problem fixed?

Q.
Hi Doctor Moore, I am a 38 year old man who has suffered with bulimia for many years, it is now in remision. I have a fair amount of acid erosion and shortening of my teeth. I see my dentist every six months and he tells me my oral hygeine is very good. I am concerned about how my teeth look and how long they will last. I feel it my be time to get something done. I am an anxious patient even though I am a health care profeesional, my anxiety is also exacerbated by the shame of being a male with this illness. Could you tell me what my options might be and how much I could be expected to spend.
A.
Its hard to tell you the full options without seeing you first as the extent of the erosion dictates the treatment you might need. Often full coverage crowns work the best in this situation as it will protect the teeth in case of relapse in your bulimia in the future. Expect to pay from £500 per tooth. Often patients require at least 10 crowns treating in either one or both jaws.
