My Teeth Are Misaligned And Caused Me Pain In My Back And Neck. Why Is This?

Q.
Doc, I have a big problem my front teeth
2 teeth. They have been missing for many years and just a year ago I started to use braces to fix my problem but it really causes me problems with pain on the right side face, which is unaligned to the left. Perhaps this is because my right teeth have shifted to the left and that there is not enough room. I feel my back and neck is aching and my body seems not aligned as well as it was. Has this got anything to do with the misalignment of my teeth? I lose my balance sometimes when I walk because my right knee aches. Please help me so that I would know what to do. Thank you.

Hello and thank you for getting in touch. It sounds like you need to go and see a dentist who has a special interest in body and jaw alignment – they usually do a lot of work with TMJ problems. Try to find one with plenty of experience in similar cases and local to you if possible. The easiest way is to check the internet and various directories. If you’d like further information on TMJ disorder, you can find it through this website. I hope this helps. Regards, Mark.
