My son has missing enamel, can I insure him for dental expenses?

Q.
My son is aged 10.
He has suffered from missing enamel on most of his new teeth. The dentist looking after him suggests that this may have been due to antibiotics being taken by my wife prior to his birth. My question is knowing that he will require a lot of dental work post 16:
Is this classed as cosmetic work and can we issure for this to at least have a six year plan to cover all the projected expense?
He has always had a very healthy diet.
Kind Regards.
A.
Hard to second guess any insurance claim. Dental hospitals often have funding pots for this type of work and maybe worth investigating. Also be supervigilant on cleaning and diet as the increased risk of tooth decay is high.
