my root is infected i need to have them extracted is bridges an option?

Q. Hi there, i have 2 teeth (together) that have had root canal treatment ,the dentist has x rayed them and he says the root is infected and i need to have them extracted. he can only offer me a denture which i really dont want, is there any other option ?i was thinking of a bridge? the remaining tooth that the bridge would need to be attached to is a crown and the other a filled molar?can you have bridgework done in these circumstances and how much would it be ?thanks

A. A bridge is an option- but probably the best long term option would be a dental implant retained bridge- this will not compromise the teeth on either side. This treatment will be approx £5,500+
The bridgework- depending on what type will probably cost around £2000- but this all depends on the state of the adjacent teeth.
Ideally, you need to consider your options carefully and I would advise that you discuss the options with a cosmetic dentist.
