My recently fitted crown is uncomfortable, what can I do?
Q.
I have recently had a crown fitted, it feels much too big and my lip keeps rubbing on it.My dentist said I will get used to it but it sticks out further than my own teeth. How easy is it to have a crown removed and would the tooth underneath be pulled out?

Dear Enquirer,
It is very easy to remove a crown and the tooth underneath will remain untouched. However, I’m a little concerned that you have only recently had this crown done, so please go back to your dentist and see if he/she is able to adjust the crown to make it more comfortable.
