My Mum Has A Bad Phobia Of Dentists. Can She Get Help From Anywhere?

Q.
Hi Mark. My mum is 49 and she has got a real bad phobia of dentists due to her brother struggling to come round after having a tooth out as a kid. Now she’s lost most of her teeth and suffering from severe depression and she never leaves the house. She is on benefits. Can she get help from anywhere? I just want her to live her life not hide away. She has never had her photo taken and rarely smiles. She hasn’t been to a dentist since she was 9 years old. Thanks.

Hello and thank you for getting in touch. If she requires a lot of treatment it’s likely that she would have to consider a payment plan of some kind to pay for the treatment in instalments. Take her to sympathetic and caring dentist as soon as you can and they will help you. The best way to do this is to search the internet for one in the area and give them a call. Try to do some research through this website on what the various treatment involve and discuss with her what can be done. I hope this helps. Regards, Mark.
