My mouth is crowded with teeth so should I need to go bridges or braces?

Q. I have a dilemma. i knew i needed braces since i was 13, but when it came time to do it i backed out for asthetic reasons and i didnt want to be picked on in school. now im 24 years old and im angry with myself because my teeth are still crooked and they could have been straight a long time ago. now theres another problem..im getting a sore jaw because of the pressure of my teeth. i had a consultation a few years ago to get invisaligne, but the dentist told me because of the position of my front tooth i would have to go with the traditional braces-or-he could pull the crooked teeth out and go with a bridge. im really not sure what to do…my mouth is so crowded with teeth i have a slight speech impediment and i really have to concentrate not to lisp or mumble..and i fear if i get braces it will make it even worse. do you think going with a bridge would be a good idea??

A. I would never advise the extraction of healthy teeth for something that cn be corrected non-invasively. You need an opinion of an experienced othodontist who can answer all your speach and aesthetic cocerns. I can recommend my collegue Dr Darsh Patel. He offers both invisible and recreational methods. You can book an appointment with Darsh on 020 7612 9810 and feel free to visit the website www.umbrellasmiles.com
