My mother has a number of medical conditions and needs implants, would she be able to get them on the NHS?
Q.
Hi ,
My 50 yr old mother has sjogrens syndrome, RA and diabetes. Her teeth are now pretty bad and she is facing a full mouth of extractions. As she is unable to wear dentures due to her Sjogrens and dry mouth, can she have a full set of dental implants on NHS?

That is unlikely, unless she is treated in a dental hospital. I’d advise that due to her medical condition that her treatment is managed in a dental hospital rather than general practice, and treatment with implants may be possible in this environment
