My lower jaw is protruding again and old dentures are loosening what should I do?

Q. I have always had a potruding lower jaw & due to being terrified of dentist since a child had neglected my teeth resulting in 4rs ago have the few teeth I had left being extracted & full dentures fitted, however my jaw is now potruding even more & making my profile very ugly I also need new dentures as my present ones are loose now, is there anything that can be done for me ?

A. Dentures will not correct you jaw position- but can help with the aesthetics of you smile and fill your face out- if it needs to be. there are options- but are very drastic measures. Orthodontics can work- aswell as surgery, but this is not something to go into lightly- and also can be a costly affair.
If you need new dentures, then I would see your dentist and have a new set constructed to your liking. With a new smile, half the battle is won. Hope you get it sorted.
