My latest (NHS) dentist says a crown can’t be fitted because the tooth is filled too low below the gum line
Q. Had a cracked tooth deep filled and was told if this failed I could have a crown fitted. The tooth is now causing problems, but my latest (NHS) dentist says a crown can’t be fitted because the tooth is filled too low below the gum line. Is this likely to be correct – I’m worried that financial considerations within the practice may be limiting the options they offer.
A. Hi It is sometimes impossible to crown a tooth that is broken a long way under the gum, however if you are not sure whether you’re receiving the right treatment maybe you should ask for a 2nd opioin form another dentist
thanks Andrew
