My Front Two Teeth Need Replacing But I’m Unemployed. Would The NHS Help Me Get Dental Implants?

Q.
Hi Andrew. I’ve got two front teeth that need replacing at the moment and I am currently unemployed so I can’t afford implants. Is there anyway NHS dentist do it for free? I’ve previously changed dentist as the one before damaged rest of my front tooth by replacing them with caps and they kept on breaking the edge of the teeth. He also kept on saying no whenever I mentioned whether it was possible for me to get help with dental implants. What should I do? Thank you for taking the time to listen to me.

Hello and thank you for getting in touch. I’m afraid implants are not available on the NHS as cosmetic dental surgery is considered not necessary. The best thing to do would be to seek a free consultation in your area and find out how much the cost of treatment will be and either save up or try and work out some kind of payment plan to suit your needs. I hope this helps and if you require more information I’d suggest you have a look around this website guide at the various treatments available. Best wishes, Dr Andrew Moore.
