ear Sir, my daughter is twelve and a half years old. A doctor says her upper jaw bone is bigger than her lower jaw bone, some say she has problem with her teeth and her bone. An orthodontist told me, nothing can be done with the bone but braces will help her, it will adjust the teeth and the bone will move a little bit back. My daughters mouth is not closed, she says with braces this will help to close it. I need your opinion, please do help. I live in karachi, Thanks

Thank you for the question. It is very difficult to work out what the exact problem is. I suggest you get a second opinion from another local orthodontist to check what was suggested is sensible. Good luck

I am very confused about my teeths. Actually i really feel shy to smile and thats really depressing for me. My upper teeth bone is out than the normal position and thats why my teeths comes out of my mouth when i smile or do something…….. i want to know what we call this in medical terms as well as I want to know is there any surgery for it or you will recommend the traditional BRACES which i dont want to go for…

It sounds as if you have a protruding upper jaw not just the teeth . The only way to find out what treatment might be possible for you is to have a consultation with a specialist who starightens teeth and knows all about treatments to correct misaligned bites . Surgery to realign jaws is called orthognathic surgery

My teeth are unstructured and are unsymmetrical in size. How can I get them into shape? Is their any other option rather than using braces? Its really disgusting when I open my mouth to smile. Is their any solution in which I can come over this problem in the shortest time span? I will also like to know about keeping my teeth healthy. Another question is that, how can I keep my teeth whitened always? Can I have some tips regarding this so that I can do the needful by using some home products or things which are easily available in surrounding?
