My Dentist Said That Veneers Would Look Too Big For Me. Would Bonding Work To Close My Gaps Instead?

Hi Dr Hughes. I have a large gap in front and little gaps around, I went to the dentist who did a model for me and he said if I close them with veneers they will look big and ugly. What other option of I have. I don’t mind closing it slightly. Also I have a denture on because of the surgery I had a whole ago so I don’t think a brace will be ideal as I need to take off denture to clean. Will bonding be ideal for me and also what’s the available – quick fix?

Hi. There may be no ‘quick fix’ unfortunately. If veneers would look too big then bonding would also, unless you accept some small spaces are left. The ideal solution may well be orthodontics will some restorative cosmetic dentistry as well afterwards? Without seeing your situation it’s hard to know what would work so I’d go and see a very experienced cosmetic dentist who offers orthodontics or has an ‘in house’ orthodontist to discuss all the possible treatment combinations and outcomes.
