Q.
Hi Dr Hughes, can you help me with something please? My crown is a nhs 1 it is loose and it has been for a while. but i have been to my dentist twice recently as it is loose but she wants to wait to see if it will just fall out because she could not pull it out what will happen i think it doesn’t fit well also i can see a small bit of the gum above the crown and i find it quite embarrassing would there be anything else my dentist could offer me if this crown is going to give me problems? i want it replacing really as i feel this would be the best course of action but as i said my dentist wants to wait and see if it”ll just fall out. is this good advice? i cannot eat properly and i don’t like smiling anymore because of it, it’s really starting to get me down and feel very self conscious.  please help any advice would be very much appreciated!

Hello and thank you for your question. I would advise that you seek a second opinion with a view to having your crown replaced. I hope this helps, kind regards.
