My Crooked, Discoloured Teeth Have Made Me Depressed, Can You Help?

Q.
hi there dr butt wondering if you can help me, i’d love it if you could, i am 33 and i have been unhappy with my teeth since i was about 6. it has got to the point now where i am in a state of depression about it. my confidence is very low and im not eating as it’s too uncomfortable to do so. as a result of this i have now lost a lot of weight and dont know what to do. i would do anything to have a perfect smile. i dont even feel as though i actually know how to smile anymore. my teeth are crooked and are discoloured and i have an overbite. please help me before i get too down. i need to start having a life. thanks for your help on this matter. look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hi there, thanks a lot for writing in. I know it seems obvious but the first step has to be seeing a dentist and just getting advice on what can and cannot be done after an examination. It is vital that you make an appointment somewhere if you feel so strongly about it and it is affecting your day to day life.  Our clinics offer free consultations so you can come to see us if you are in the area.
