Is there anything that can be done about my jaw arthritis?

Q.
Dear Mark, I currently have the temporo-mandibular syndrome or jaw arthritis, as it is called. It all started 12 years ago when I had a cyst in my cheek and had to take it out. I had loads of problems from then forward, I had to wear braces for 10 years, I have a teeth implant and most recently I have developed arthritis at the jaw, which does not let me eat properly, or open my mouth, or do anything as there is a constant pain at my jaw which does not seem to go away. I have recently been back home, to Romania where I did all the analysis, i.e.. X-rays and Tomography and they said that my condition cannot be cured over there and I should try to look for a doctor in EU. The thing is that they do not even do occlusal splints which I was told I am in need, so my best chance is here. But I’ve understood that this condition is quite rare and it heals very hard, that is if you are lucky to be cured of it. And I don’t know what to do or where to start from, all I know is that I can barely eat or open my mouth, that is why I am writing to you, asking for help. I do have an online copy of the X-rays and Tomography if that is of help.

Could you please help me?

Thank you.
