Is there any treatment for a fractured veneer?

Q. Hi, I had a veneer on my front tooth, and it fractured, and instead of having a new one replaced, my dentist put composite filling on my tooth, if i wanted the filling removed can it be done so that i can just have my natural tooth? Laura,
A. hi laura, your tooth will have been prepared (drilled) for the veneer so removing it will leave a sensitive surface prone to decay. in theory you can have whats left of the veneer removed and the whole thing replaced. trying to have the veneer which is usually porcelain replaced with composite is an inferior solution and not advised
