Is there any alternative to this awful splint I have had fitted?
Q. I recently knocked my front tooth out of line and have just had a splint fitted yet It’s horrible! It’s so thick I can’t close my mouth comfortably, it looks terrible and covers the front of teeth and every 5 seconds I’m having to suck the saliva out of the splint – it’s disgusting! I have been in tears ever since. Is there an alternative to this nasty plastic splint to secure my ‘loose’ tooth in place?,
A. It might be possible to use metal wire behind the teeth. However if the tooth is very loose then you may need to consider removal.
