Is It Possible To Still Have Gum Grafting If The Tissue That Is Used Comes From An animal?

Q.
hello, i have periodontal disease an my gums are receding badly,i cant hant have a graft because i have been told their is not enough tissue there to do it,is it possible to still have grafting because i dont want to lose my teeth which are fine,i did look at a site somewhere, that they can do grafting with another animals tissue ,instead of taking it from the roof of the mouth, also i do smoke a lot, also their is a company with a product called qsiant i was wondering does that work? wouldnt it be ideal if the tissue came from my own mouth? i don’t really know how it all works, a little explaining would be great before i head into getting this problem fixed. thanks for your time

Hello, thanks for your question. It doesn’t sound like you are a good candidate for grafting. You need to focus on keeping your teeth through good oral hygiene and stopping smoking, the gum graft is only cosmetic it won’t help save the teeth compared to stopping smoking.I hope this helps.
